Many long for companionship, but the thought of owning a dog comes with anxiety and uncertainty

The thought of a dog lives in many people a loyal companion who welcomes us home, walks by our side, and rests quietly when needed.

But when it’s time to decide, doubts often arise:

The internet is full of advice, but it’s harder than ever to know who to trust.

That’s why many remain stuck in longing and fear of making a wrong decision.

Lingering worries that hold many people back:

Owning a dog shouldn’t be a source of stress.

A carefully chosen, well-trained dog – backed by support – gives us exactly what we’re looking for: security, joy, and companionship.

Peaceful, joyful cohabitation isn’t a dream – it’s the result of a responsible decision

This isn’t an impulse purchase – it’s the beginning of a lifelong bond. Our goal isn’t for someone to have a dog, but for them to be happy with one.

“Horka and I participated in the 24th ISPU WM! Our results were: A: 89, B: 82, C: 94, total: 265 points. Out of 66 competing dogs, we finished in 22nd place. It was an incredibly positive experience for me!
For this experience, I owe huge thanks to my trainers:
A: Péter Hegedűs,
B: Jenő Zsofcsin,
C: Gábor Serhokk!!! THANK YOU!!!”

“I didn’t want a dog because it seemed like too much trouble and responsibility. But my wife and child really wanted one, so I asked Gábor to help us choose and train a family-friendly dog. It completely changed my life—Bodza has become a family member. It’s one of the best things in the world.”

“On April 15, with my dog Yes v.d. Schönburg, we passed the BH exam successfully (55 points). Many thanks to Gábor Serhokk for the preparation and to the whole EQ-Dogsport team!”

László András

“When we moved into a house, we wanted a dog that would have a presence in the yard, be trainable, and most importantly, be child-friendly—so it would get along well with the children we planned to have in the future. Django came to us from Olivia Dog Center, and although he requires daily activity and attention as a working dog—which we expected—he meets all the criteria perfectly and has become a true member of the family.”

“When Dongó was a puppy, he was playful and cute. But you should know that he was also quite cheeky. My mom and dad taught him lots of fun tricks very kindly, and we always played with him. As he got older, he became more serious—but he can still do things that make our hair stand on end.

Still, we love him very, very much. It’s so sweet when my brother and I come home from school, and he jumps into our arms with joy shining in his eyes. I tell him, ‘You’re so cute, Dongó!’ and he happily bounces around.

He’s learned so much—he can give a paw, sit, lie down, spin, and bring back a ball when commanded.

Ball games are his everything—he never gets bored of them. I love him so much, and I’m happy that Dongó is our dog.”

Anita

“The time has come, and it’s with great joy and emotion that I introduce our new family member. Or rather, the head of the family, because I’ve never been that and I don’t want to be. I live in harmony with my animals. So she is Miss Sushi. I had absolutely no plans to get another dog after losing Thea at least not like this. But she stole my heart at first sight.

She wasn’t house-trained, she was in heat, couldn’t eat from a bowl, spins like crazy, and is still afraid of some things. Yet it feels like we’ve always been together. As if I’m continuing where I left off with Thea. We move together, breathe together, we are in symbiosis.

Sushi is a rare gem, the work of Gábor Serhokk. Thanks to him, even her feeding is super easy. She doesn’t seem prone to illness, has a great coat, excellent movement, and could survive even on an ice field. But that’s how shepherds are.

Sushi had been enjoying the hospitality and training of Olivia Dog Center Ltd. Until now. Now she’ll have to make do with mine. The service dog is now fulfilling lifelong family service from the couch.

She’s proof that nothing is impossible every dog has the potential to develop its intended skills. Of course, it takes work, and I don’t want to neglect protection training completely, as she’s really good at it. But after all, we have many years ahead of us, I hope we’re not in a rush.

I’ve proven to her that she’ll be safe here for the rest of her life, and she’s proven to me that no matter what, she loves and sees me unconditionally in a way no human ever could.

I’m so grateful we found each other. Sushi, you are already a worthy successor to Thea. I’m truly looking forward to your little lessons, with all their challenges. I hope you’ll be happy with me. I know miracles exist, Thea… I’m sure you had a hand in this, and it was part of your plan.

Ágnes

“I’ve always liked Central Asian Shepherd Dogs. A friend of mine had a litter, and I really wanted one—but I was hesitant because I’d heard a lot of negative things about the breed. It was very important to me, especially with a large dog like this (but even with small ones), that it gets along well with kids and is manageable.

I asked Gábor to come with me to look at the litter and help me choose. He used a particularly interesting method during the selection process.

He taught me and the kids how to handle the dog and how to train it with different tasks. In about half an hour, he taught it 2–3 things it never forgot. On Gábor’s recommendation, we attended dog school, which I believe was the best decision. My son worked with the dog, and at one of the events, they even won a competition in the ‘kindergarten’ age group category.

The dog was very disciplined, loved kids, and they could take it for a walk or to the vet anytime without a problem. It was the dog of my life.

Many people like a particular breed, but they’re afraid of its size or the bad things they’ve heard. They worry about how it will get along with kids.

Don’t be afraid—find the right guidance.”

Krisztina

I’m truly grateful that I got to know you back then.
We had the chance to work as a team and prepare with my dog from the BH exam all the way to our IPO 3.
You always had an exceptional understanding of what methodology each dog needed in order to develop at the highest level and best pace, so we could achieve our goals together.
I would like to thank you for the tireless time and effort we spent together. I wish you continued success in your work – what you do is truly exemplary. Keep it up!
The dogs trained by you and released from your hands are, in my opinion, built on such strong foundations that they can hold their own anywhere in the world and in any field.
You train them with expertise, care, and the most modern techniques.
A million kisses and hugs to you all,
Warm regards:

Cs. Krisztina

Many people feel hesitant when it comes to choosing a larger dog.

This is completely understandable. However, what truly matters is not the size of the dog, but the mentality, character, and temperament of

the specific dog you bring home. You need to be aware of the environment the dog will need to adapt to and what purpose you

want the dog for.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that the dog will be a perfect companion for the family without proper attention and care.

D. István

Hétfőn mindkét leányzó sikeresen teljesítette a tenyészszemlét:
Luna vom Damjan Hof (Rooney von Meridian × Pippi vom Damjan Hof)
Megyeri-Morcos Dior (Remo spod Lazov × Megyeri-Morcos Blanka)

Köszönöm a felkészítést, Serhokk Gábornak!

K. Rita

Today, Wicky and I successfully passed our IPO 1 exam — not flawlessly, but next time will be even better!
A big thank you to the entire EO team for their continuous support, and to Péter Szalai for the judging!
Special thanks to Gábor Serhokk for building the protection phase, to Anikó Háromszéki for the emotional support, and of course, to the one without whom this surely wouldn’t have been possible: József Zeitler!

T. Tímea

Unfortunately, our obedience was chaotic again – 71 points…
However, in the protection phase, he performed as usual, with a touch of “manageable roughness”… 86 points, and I’m fully satisfied with that, especially considering how little training we had.
I can’t thank Gábor Serhokk enough for his work – you’re the best helper out there!
Many thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to this result!
